ActiveComport is an ActiveX/COM component. It offers an interface for serial, asynchronous communications through a serial port. Use it to control modems, ISDN modems, USB serial devices or any other device that has serial interface.
Support for RS-232, RS422, RS485; Windows Telephony Devices (TAPI), Hardware flow control (RTS/CTS, DTR/DSR), Software flowcontrol (XON/XOFF), etc.
Samples are provided for Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, Visual C++, Visual C# .NET, ASP, ASP .NET, VBScript, PHP and Delphi.

ActiveSocket Network Communication Toolkit

Toolkit to enhance applications and scripts with network functionality, including the following protocols: HTTP, HTTPs, ICMP Ping, NTP, SNMP (Get, GetNext, Set and Trap), TCP client/server, UDP datagrams and Wake-On-LAN (Power on workstations). Delegate tasks for devices that can be configured via telnet, like 3COM and Cisco switches. Support for ASCII data and binary data transfer. Samples included for Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# .NET, ASP, Visual Basic, VBScript, Visual C++ and other development platforms.

Send SMTP e-mail and receive POP3 e-mail from any ActiveX/COM compliant application or scripting tool. Enhanced feature set, including foreign character sets, attachments, priority mail, etc.. To improve performance, outgoing mails can be processed in the background by installing the optional ActiveEmail Queue service (with no extra costs).

ActiveXperts Scripting Toolkit enables Software Developers to call VBScript functions without invoking the 'Windows Scripting Host'. Use the toolkit to: redirect Standard Error and Standard Output, call functions on the fly using dynamic arguments, use script time-out to prevent VBScript functions from running in an endless loop, catch programming error that would normally crash the VBScript program, etc.

ActiveXperts SMS Messaging Server is a Windows-based software package that enables you to send, receive and process SMS and e-mail messages. It can send and receive SMS messages through GSM modems, GSM cellular phones and SMPP network service providers; it can send/receive e-mail messages through SMTP/POP3 servers. Incoming messages are processed by so called 'triggers'. Triggers are usually written in VBScript, and can be fully customised.

It is more than a standard product. It is a framework for a variety of scenario's, for instance to let mobile users query your databases, to send daily stock prices to customers, to let people make reservations for a tennis club, to let remote workers update their time sheets, to broadcast messages to students of a school to alert them for particular events, etc.. Some of these cases are included with the product and can be run right after installation of the product.
