Code 128 barcodes are used extensively by the shipping industry as well as
for inventory, ID, and tracking purposes. Code 128 is part of many labelling
specifications.
Code 128’s character set supports the lower 128 ASCII characters,
including upper and lowercase letters, numbers, punctuation, and
control codes. Code 128 barcodes include a mod 103 check digit to
insure data integrity. Code 128 is much denser than Code 39 and is the
symbology of choice whenever space is at a premium.
C128Tools supports code set A, code set B, code set C, and UCC/EAN-13 bar
codes. It includes five different fonts in TrueType and Type 1 PostScript
format. Changing between the various fonts allows you to alter the width of a
bar code while changing the point size alters the symbol’s height. To learn more
about C128Tools read the
C128Tools documentation.
Printing bar codes from within another application? No problem, we’ve got
plenty of free sample code that integrates the C128Tools fonts into your
applications. This eliminates the need for you to write code from scratch,
saving both time and money.
