Data Dynamics ReportsAward-winning ActiveReports technology for Microsoft Visual Studio re-engineered from the ground up with direct support for Business Reporting via visual report designers, business dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), Microsoft Excel transformation, and more.
Dashboards and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Business
Reporting
Data Dynamics Reports includes built-in dashboard
controls. For example, spark lines allow users to see trends while also
viewing the primary data display. And bullet graphs give users an
instantaneous view of how a KPI or other statistic is currently doing,
broken down into two to three ranges and displaying an optional target—all
in a space-saving display.
Advanced Data Visualisation to
Highlight Key Business Data
Data Dynamics Reports includes data
visualisers that make it easy to analyse business reports by highlighting
key data elements, thus reducing the time and effort needed to make business
decisions. For example, color scale maps a numeric value onto a range of
colors, reducing the complexity of dealing with a large number of discrete
data elements. Icon sets set off information with status flags and
corresponding images, based on either absolute or calculated values. And
range bars and data bars can be used to visually indicate numbers and number
ranges, actual progress vs. planned progress, etc.
Microsoft
Excel Transformation for Excel Business Users
Data Dynamics
Reports includes a new Excel Transformation Device that makes it possible to
analyse numbers using the familiar Excel environment. More than a simple
export, the Excel Transformation Device allows users to change their reports
into useful Excel spreadsheets and take full advantage of all Excel has to
offer. For example, developers can bind data to Excel charts or pivot
tables, enabling users to see the display change as they perform what-if
analyses.
Microsoft Report Definition Language (RDL)
Reporting Format
Data Dynamics Reports supports Microsoft's
Report Definition Language (RDL) format, enabling developers who work in
Microsoft SQL Server to use a reporting format they're already familiar
with. In addition, Data Dynamics Reports extends RDL beyond what SQL Server
Reporting Services (SSRS) supports, adding support for reporting themes,
reporting templates, and data visualisation.
Page-Layout-Based Visual Studio Report Designers for Maximum Ease of Design
Data Dynamics Reports features a rich, usable, embeddable,
full-page layout-based Report Designer Application for Windows Forms. It
comes with two versions of the Report Designer - one is tightly integrated
with Microsoft Visual Studio to harness all the productivity of the Visual
Studio IDE that you are used to, and the other is a stand-alone Designer for
business users who do not have access to Microsoft Visual Studio.
Full-Fledged End-User Report Designer for Business Users
The same Report Designer that is available inside Visual Studio and
as a stand-alone application can be embedded into your .NET WinForms
application in the form of a control and provided to end users for their own
reporting needs.
Powerful ASP.NET AJAX-based End-User Report
Viewer for a Native Web Experience
Data Dynamics Report features
a powerful, easy-to-use Web Report Viewer component that can be used in Web
projects to display reports. It provides easy access to navigational
features, a number of export features including a wide variety of documents
and graphic formats, and other advanced features such as Pan Mode, Snapshot
mode, Preview mode, Copy and Zoom.
Reporting Master Templates
for Higher End-User Productivity
Reporting templates provide
report authors with a consistent base layout to work from, as well as common
data sources, data sets, report parameters, embedded images, themes, and
custom code. Developers use these templates to give end users a set of
content and formats they can start with. Report authors working on a suite
of reports use them to create a consistent look across the entire suite.
Predefined, Customisable Reporting Themes for Consistent Look
and Feel Theme support
Theme support allows report designers to
use a standard set of colors, fonts, and images throughout a set of
documents—not only creating consistency across documents, but also enabling
the look of a whole family of reports to be updated by changing just one
theme file.
Smart Panels to Quickly Customise All Aspects of
Your Reports
Data Dynamics Reports includes a collection of
smart panels that bring together related sets of properties in one place to
allow easy and fast customisation of various aspects of your report. The
available Smart Panels include the Data Source Panel, the Data Set Panel,

Built-In
Chart Report Item for Convenient and Good Looking Charts

Dynamics Reports includes a chart control that supports all of the most
commonly used 2D and 3D chart types, including XY charts and financial
charts. With advanced charting features like custom axes, annotations,
markers, legends, and constant lines, you can create any chart you need.
Using code, you can natively export charts to various image formats.
Export to a Wide Variety of Document and Graphic Formats
Data Dynamics includes tools for exporting your .NET reports to
popular document formats and to to a wide variety of graphic formats. You
can use them in both Windows-based and Web-based applications. Provide
export options for your users, or have your application create the exports
