What’s New in Articulate 360 AI and Frontline? More Ways to Train Your Team

2 October 2026

A new product launches. A process changes. New employees need to get up to speed. The knowledge is there, but turning it into clear, useful training takes time.

On 10 September 2026, Articulate announced a major evolution of its workplace training platform at ArticuLAND Orlando. The release expands Articulate 360 AI, introduces Frontline for training creators across the business, and brings Nova, a built-in AI agent, into both products.

The MicroWay team attended ArticuLAND. Here’s what the developments mean for learning professionals and business teams across Australia and New Zealand.

The three developments at a glance:

Articulate 360 AI: Expanded tools and formats for professional learning teams.

Frontline: Guided training creation for subject matter experts and business teams.

Nova: The built-in AI agent powering advanced creation workflows in both products.

Already using Articulate? Here’s what’s new

For instructional designers and learning and development teams, Articulate 360 AI continues to provide familiar tools such as Rise and Storyline. These established tools remain part of the platform, with new formats and capabilities expanding how teams create and manage training.

One key change is a broader choice of training formats, including guides, interactive videos, training decks and scenarios. Creators can choose a format that suits the learning need, rather than building a full course for every topic.

For example, a structured course may suit an onboarding programme, while a guide could help employees follow a specific procedure. A scenario gives learners an opportunity to practise responding to a situation.

The release also introduces a redesigned workspace, shared brand settings and built-in analytics covering measures such as completion and learner sentiment. Together, these capabilities help teams organise creation, keep content consistent and identify areas to review.

New integrations include Google Drive and OneDrive for source content, alongside connections with AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. These provide more ways to bring existing knowledge into the training creation process.

Frontline: Turn team knowledge into structured training

Training responsibilities often sit with people outside L&D. A sales manager explains a product update. An HR team shares a new policy. An IT specialist teaches colleagues how to use a system.

Frontline is a new AI-native product designed for these creators across the business, including HR, sales, customer service, IT and operations.

It helps people turn source materials or a description of their training needs into a connected training kit, using a guided process informed by learning science.

A kit is a collection of resources about one topic. It can include guides, quick references, interactive videos, scenarios and training decks, giving learners different ways to understand, practise and revisit information.

Creators can review and refine the materials before sharing them through trackable links. Built-in analytics provide visibility into completion and engagement.

Frontline also supports changes across connected kit resources, helping teams maintain related materials as information evolves. That is particularly useful when the same process appears in a guide, a video and a presentation.

Nova: AI support within both products

Nova is Articulate’s built-in AI agent. It powers advanced workflows within Articulate 360 AI and Frontline, rather than requiring a separate application.

Its capabilities include generating training kits in Frontline, creating AI Avatar videos from scripts, and translating training across multiple formats into more than 80 languages.

These offer practical ways to adapt content. A presenter-led video can be created without arranging a filming session, while translation can help teams prepare materials for learners who use different languages.

Nova-powered actions use credits. Core AI capabilities in Articulate 360 AI, such as image generation and AI audio, do not use Nova credits. Credit requirements vary by product and action, so it’s useful to understand how your team plans to create content before choosing an option.

Three ways teams could put the tools to work

HR: Create a consistent onboarding experience

An L&D team could use Articulate 360 AI to build an onboarding course covering organisational policies and expectations. HR could use Frontline to create supporting guides and quick references for practical tasks, such as requesting leave or finding internal resources.

Sales: Prepare for a product update

A sales manager could use an approved product brief to create a Frontline kit with a training deck, a quick reference and a practice scenario. Subject matter experts would review the content before sharing it with the team.

IT: Support a new system rollout

An IT team could turn instructions and a recorded walkthrough into guides and interactive video resources. Employees could use the training to learn the workflow and return to reference materials when completing the task.

Which product suits your team?

Articulate 360 AI suits learning professionals who need comprehensive authoring tools, custom interactivity and established course development workflows.

Frontline suits business teams and subject matter experts who need a guided way to turn their knowledge into practical training resources.

Organisations may have a role for both. L&D can establish learning standards and brand guidelines, while business teams use Frontline to create resources based on their specialist knowledge. This gives L&D a way to support training across departments without having to produce every resource themselves. Reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy and relevance remains essential.
